For the past several years Audi has been turning its attention to Hollywood and its stars. In return Hollywood has turned its attention to Audi in a big way!

The first Audi Urban Future Award has been conferred: an international jury of renowned experts selected J. MAYER H. as the winner of the competition initiated by Audi. Rupert Stadler, CEO of AUDI AG, presented the award endowed with 100,000 Euro, the most highly remunerated German architectural prize. During the course of one month, the public can take in the visions of the five international architectural firms that participated in the competition in an impressive exhibition.

The long wait is over: starting tomorrow, the Audi A1 will be available at dealers in Germany for a test drive. Deliveries will simultaneously begin in Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland, followed by most other European markets from mid-September. With a starting price of €15,800, the A1 impresses with its progressive design, superb workmanship and state-of-the-art infotainment technologies. The new Audi offers a vast number of possibilities for customization and can be ordered in over 800 different exterior versions.

A new worldwide racing series focused on innovative drive concepts, new technology and reduced fuel consumption will stage its inaugural round at Silverstone on September 12. The newly incepted Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) makes it possible for Audi to tour the world with its innovative diesel-powered race sports cars.

The RS 5 races towards Florian Käppler at more than 200 km/h (124.27 mph). Just a few more meters – nothing must go wrong now! All week his team has prepared meticulously for this weekend. Just a few centimetres separate him from the metallic-blue Audi as it shoots past him before vanishing into the banked corner. All that remains is the reverberation of the 4.2-liter V8 in his ears – and a recording of the engine's sound. Käppler gives the thumbs-up signal - the recording is a success.

Audi has made up ground to the leader of the standings at the DTM race at Zandvoort like the brand had been hoping to do. Still, the sixth round of the season did not go according to expectations for the title defenders.

First podium of the year for Timo Scheider

The champion is back – and how! With a record lead of almost seven tenths of a second Audi driver Timo Scheider commandingly clinched the pole position for the DTM race at Zandvoort (Sunday, starting at 1:45 p.m. – local time – on “Das Erste”). Audi thus continued an impressive string of qualifying results: for the fourth consecutive time an Audi A4 DTM will start from the pole position on the Dutch North Sea coast.
