The Audi TT RS is "Sports Car of the Year 2009" in the category "Production Coupés." The R8 5.2 FSI wins the title for production supercars. The S5 Cabriolet, the RS 6, the S4 Avant, and the Q7 V12 TDI each placed in the top five in their respective classes. The prizes awarded by a jury from the Auto Bild SportsCars monthly were presented last evening at the Essen Motor Show.

World premiere, take two: Only one day after the world premiere of the new Audi A8 on November 30 to international media representatives, Audi will present its brand flagship at Design Miami 2009 to an audience of design experts from all over the world. Both the premiere as part of the exhibition "The Art of Progress" in the Audi Pavilion and the premiere for the general public with the stand at Design Miami illustrate how Audi, in line with the brand motto "Vorsprung durch Technik", is going down a new, innovative path with the new Audi A8.

The close partnership between AUDI AG and FC Bayern München AG which has existed since 2002 will be elevated to a new level: In three steps between March 2010 and July 2011 at the latest, the automobile manufacturer from Ingolstadt will acquire a shareholding in FC Bayern München AG that will ultimately total 9.09 percent.

"Family Silver - the Auto Union Silver Arrows and their Rivals": never before has the Audi museum mobile displayed such valuable items in an exhibition. From December 2, 2009 until March 31, 2010, visitors to the Audi Forum Ingolstadt will be able to see ten of these magnificent racing cars from the 1930s, with their supercharged engines. Seven Auto Union Silver Arrows will be joined by three original Mercedes-Benz racing cars, two of them with race victories to their credit, the third a holder of international speed records.

Readers of the motoring magazine "Auto Zeitung" have voted three Audi models top of their classes in the "Auto Trophy 2009." More than 104,000 readers took part in the poll. The Audi A5 Sportback, Audi R8 Spyder and Audi Q5 picked up three of the year’s most coveted awards in the readers’ poll. Audi also took first place in the Image Report for car brands for the sixth time in a row. The brand with the four rings has now won the coveted prize of the "Auto Trophy" 43 times in the award’s 22-year history. The prizes were awarded yesterday evening during a gala event at Berlin’s Meilenwerk.

Audi is celebrating another very special anniversary in 2009: the 20th birthday of TDI technology. In the fall of 1989, the Audi 100 2.5 TDI - the first Audi with a direct-injection turbocharged diesel engine - was exhibited at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. Ever since, the brand with the four rings has continued to increase its lead and set many milestones. Since 1989, Audi has produced over five million TDI engines and is now marketing a wide range of leading-edge power units. Audi today announced that the culmination of its 100th anniversary celebration will be held at the world’s most important art and design fairs, Design Miami/ and Art Basel Miami Beach. At this prestigious event, Audi will reveal for the first time the all-new 2011 edition of the brand’s flagship sedan, the Audi A8. The reveal will take place at the Audi Pavilion, a temporary museum structure built on Miami Beach in proximity to the iconic Fontainebleau hotel. The reveal and exhibition will coincide with the Vernissage of “The Art of Progress” exhibit, which itself is inspired by key attributes of the new A8, as well as the Audi brand’s core philosophy.
