Audi's latest edition to its luxury 4WD line-up is the new classy Q5 off-roader. Giving Audi Fan's a nice midway between an A3 and a Q7.

Rivalling BMW X3, the Q5 is a sleek five-seater mid-size luxury 4WD with the best aerodynamics in its class and a wheelbase identical to that of the A4 (2.81m). Although based on the A4 sedan and A5 coupe, the new 4WD has been given its own interior design and a choice of three body-trims, comprising black (standard), two-tone, and full body colour.

Q5's options list includes the Audi Drive Select (adjustable suspension, steering and throttle), rear-view camera, blind-spot alert, Bang & Olufsen audio, lane-departure warning system, and LED and daytime running lights. An optional sliding rear seat which extends the Q5's loading length is also available

Audi expects a 9.1% share of June U.S. imported luxury vehicle sales

Audi today announced that U.S. sales for the month of June reached 7,524 units, its best sales month of 2009.  Despite an economic environment that remains challenging, Audi expects its market share will improve in June, to 9.1% based on preliminary industry figures.

Updated Audi navigation system plus

The new Audi navigation system plus with MMI (Multi Media Interface) operating logic in the A3, TT and R8 offers improved screen resolution and unmatched route calculation speed. The radio-navigation system, version E (RNS-E), can be combined with the Audi music interface and reads up to 32 GB SD memory cards. The new system is available immediately and costs between 2,270 and 2,565 euros, depending on the model.
